Low in-game volume

I've started a new BG2: EE game and despite everything maxed out in the menu, the in-game volume is extermely low (I have to really push my speakers to hear anything). What could be the cause of that?

    Hi @Hypaspist, it could be the volume level set on your device itself (outside of the game). Guessing you use a PC with Windows 10; look on the right hand side of the Taskbar, select the speaker icon and see what the volume is set as.
