Proposed Class: Mild Mage

Mild Mage gets half as many spell slots but all their spells always work at maximum effectiveness. No saves. Max Rolls. Dominate that elemental every time. They just work.

They have a Mild Surge spell, which provides them with a tall, cool glass of water, so that they might refresh themselves after surviving the whole day, because all their spells did exactly what they wanted them to.

They must allocate a portion of their precious few spell slots to the Mild Surge at all times, because staying hydrated is important. Gotta think about your health when you've got a long life ahead of you.

Want to hear something funny? Chromatic Orb.

On a mechanical level, this would be really, ludicrously, broken. The tradeoff of saving throws for powerful effects against more reliable but weaker effects is just too strongly built into the spell system.

Max Level Mild Mage can cast Chromatic Orb once a day.

They have 3 level 1 spell slots. 2 must be used for Mild Surges and 1 can be used to slay a bronze dragon.

Mild Shield ability summons a board game, and some friends, to protect the Mild Mage from the boredom and anxiety that sets in when one is safe and comfortable, with no outlets for their mental energies.

Mild Mages who neglect this spell have been known to become Fallen Mild Mages, who lose all the benefits of their Mild Mage class but still have the reduced spell slots.

    "Mild" Mage?

    Kit Disadvantages:
    - Can only stomache tasteless or mildly flavored food.
    - Suffers a -4 Saving Throw penalty vs. Breath Weapon. Garlic breathes in particular.

Anything spicier than a cheeto instantly kills a Mild Mage. They retain this weakness after becoming a Fallen Mild Mage.

If you react any more strongly than that you are no longer eligible to the Mild Mage Class.
