Custom portrait issue [SOLVED]

Can someone please help me out? I'm trying to get this custom portrait into my game but nothing will get it into the sidebar. It'll appear in the character record screen and character creation but no amount of resizing and renaming will get it into the sidebar. Thanks!

    Put these 2 files in the portrait folder, they should work

    Save that image as 24-bit BMP. Call it 1aM.bmp - and it'll work (for the record screen and sidebar).

    It's just come out like this :/

    I'm unsure of what's happening, as it's 24-bit, the right size, the right name, etc.
