Multiplayer not working between Windows and Linux

Hi! I'm trying to play Baldur's Gate:EE with my partner and we can join each others games just fine but but after we create our characters, one of us can never see the other persons finished character, and one of us is unable to ready up to start the game, seemingly random every time. I'm on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 64bit) and my partner is on windows 7 64bit. My understanding is that cross platform play should work just fine, but we're having problems. If you could help, that would be very much appreciiated :smile: Thank you!

    Can you provide screenshots from the lobby so that I could better figure out what is happening?
