Another Linux NWN:EE user unable to play multiplayer

title says it all, but to further the discussion, I've searched the forums and found this which I've tried the fix attached for, it still didn't generate the cdkey.ini in the .local/share/Neverwinter Nights folder as sugested by this so in short... how the heck am I supposed to get my CDkey, and furthermore, why isn't Beamdog using the Steam CD Key delivery feature?

    The steam cdkey delivery broke with the 64bit update. It will be fixed, but in the mean time, your best bet is to go into the game properties in Steam, and under Betas pick "oldstable". Join multiplayer there, it will generate the cdkey, then you can opt out of the beta again.

    The bug is now fixed in the new Dev build.
