BGEE unkillable NPCs [FIXED]

My current playthrough game is only lightly modded, but apparently one of the mods is making some joinable NPCs immortal; even immune to CTRL+Y. I suspect this is a bug with my install of the BG1 NPC Project (v23.3), but can't be certain. Has anyone heard of this bug?

IIRC, the fix was CTRL+R which somehow reset the character's variables, and made them "normal" again.

I highly doubt your problem is related to BG1NPC, it doesn't do such changes. Still, I'd suggest using the most current mod version for BG1NPC (it's 24.4).
Also, which NPCs are you talking about, which other mods do you have installed, did you try uninstalling mods and starting a new game to see whether the problem remains?

Is Story Mode Activated as well? That would definitely make them invulnerable.

I had this happen to me as well. A Jaheira that would take damage but never fall below one hp.

I'm pretty sure it was SCS related, though I did have the NPC project installed as well.

There are two possible explanations I can think of for it happening:
1 - I changed her class to try out one of the specialist druids.

Coincidently I also changed Imoen's class to bard and Safana's class to bounty hunter and neither of them became immortal, but multi-class NPCs might be wired a little differently and changing them to single class might be a no go.

2 - I killed Khalid off. He died really early and I didn't think anything of it at the time but I know that SCS makes changes to the pair system. I later found out that I could no longer enter the Friendly Arm Inn due to a bug and read somewhere that the game probably cloned one or the other of them at the start of Chapter 3 because they were separated.

I'd suggest trying to enter the Friendly Arm and seeing if you get a bug upon entry as well, or trying to return to whatever place a cloned copy of your characters might have been created.
