Why are most door tiles now with a positive orientation?

GrymlordeGrymlorde Member Posts: 121
In the most recent retail release, most of the door tiles have their orientation changed from a negative number to a positive one. For example, -45 degrees is now 315 degrees. In the past, it didn't matter. But now it does?

@JuliusBorisov - Can you get us an official answer as to why it was done? If it really is better, than why hasn't BD changed 100% of the doors?

Should CC makers update all of their tileset doors to a positive orientation now?

Thanks!

Here is what Bill Harper (BD employee) wrote on Discord:
"It's not really a big deal, not worth all the hours if you have customs already. I was giving the SET file a good cleanup at same time, adjusting a few door positions and other minor tweaks, so figured I'd change them while already there."

And here is his follow-up message from Discord:
"I was hoping it would help, maybe a little less parsing on the CPU--but didn't see any substantial evidence nor gain."

In other words, if it makes any difference to the engine at all, it is so slight as to be imperceptible and thus not worth the effort.

@JuliusBorisov , I think Bill's message sums it up. No need for further research on your part. Thanks!
