[Possible Bug] No bonus XP on Insane difficulty - Nintendo Switch

I'm currently playing through IWD on the Switch and I'm not getting any bonus XP on Insane. I've tested it with and without the "default XP" setting on. Anyone else experience this?

I could probably figure it out. I'm an experienced player, just my first time playing it on the Switch. I noticed because the quest XP values were not doubled like they should be on Insane difficulty. That's how I tested it.

I think I actually noticed this too and concluded I must be mistaken about how it worked.

I was looking at a guide that recommended changing the difficulty to easy or insane before turning in Larrel's astrolabe parts for a huge chunk of quest XP all at once...I did this and noticed the numbers weren't any different. I just shrugged and figured that maybe the readout says one number but it's silently doubled on the back end, or that for some reason quest XP is no longer doubled in EE and the only double XP you get is from kills.
