beta fles via steam?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Hi all,

Possible pointless question as am still installing, buti noticed a 1.3 beta?

just wondering how relevant this is, i dont mind running them if they're in date.

running steam/proton (up to 5.9)

    It's the other way around; the current version is 2.5. 1.3 was the last pre-2.0 version, and 2.0 made some substantial changes that made some things (like certain mods) not function, so having 1.3 available was good for some people. I think there are very very few of those things around now, since it has been a number of years since 2.0 was released.

    The 1.3 "beta" is an old 1.3 build. We left it as an option on Steam as on certain (old) hardware configurations playing the 2.x build might lead to stuttering and other issues.
