Sudden Graphic Glitches in BG:EE and BG2:EE

I've been playing through the Enhanced Editions over the last few months without issue.

I'm upto the Sendai enclave in Throne of Bhaal and all of a sudden, the graphics have glitched out whenever I open either Baldur's Gate 1 or BG2 from the Steam client. Thick, horizontal green and white lines appear on the screen, making the game unplayable:

I've installed the latest drivers for my graphics card and this hasn't resolved the issue.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this or how to fix it?

    What happens if you roll back your graphic drivers? The sudden nature of the issue makes it sounds as if something went wrong when you installed the latest drivers.
