Direct BGEE purchase, cannot log into server?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Purchased direct from Beamdog years ago and trying to migrate the files over to a new computer. I get the Login screen, but after entering the username and password, it says "Verification Failed due to server error."
Any idea how one can get this to work?
