Bug: DLC-based Multiplayer Issue

Hey, all.
I recently started a multiplayer campaign with some friends who are new to the game, and encountered an odd problem: I cannot join my friend's game if I have Siege of Dragonspear installed.
I was not in the SOD menu, it was the classic Baldur's Gate (not the Black Pits either, for what it's worth), but his game wasn't showing up in the server list when I clicked "Multiplayer." However, on a hunch, I uninstalled SOD and then it worked fine. Another friend (who also owns SOD) had the same problem with the same solution.
Thought I should bring this to y'all's attention.

BG:EE players only
BG:EE+SOD players only
So in order to play BG:EE if you have SoD and your friend doesn't have SoD, you have to uninstall SoD (uncheck it in the list of DLC for the game in the Steam app).
