Has anyone run into portraits showing UI elements instead of the characters?

    If I turn on alternate renderer the portraits will show up but none of the text does.

    Are you running any mods?

    No mods but I think the video card on this old pc isn’t enough. It’s a GeForce 5200 and might not support OpenGL 2

    Yep, it's the min-spec issue. The min requirement for Graphics is OpenGL 2.0 compatible.
