bg2ee movies stutter on an intel integrated laptop

Does anyone know why the ingame movies in bg2ee stutter? My laptop isnt great (intel integrated gpu) but I really doubt that it cannot even run movies smoothly.

Only movies stutter. the game runs fine otherwise
the only possible solution that i managed to find involves converting ingame movies to a format of smaller resolutioin detailed here

I have no idea how to use the ffmpeg mentioned by the user though. Can anyone help out plz?
