Avoiding the Beamdog client

Heya,
i bought BGEE at the beamdog shop. Now i don't see a download button for the game, except for the beamdog client. I dislike having to use a client for a product that i own through purchase as i want to be in full control of the files, directory and possiblities for modding without the danger of sudden patches or restrictions of whatever external influence. So here's my question: where can i download the game without installing said client?

    You can still launch games via the .exe files directly after downloading them with the Client.

    You can also request Steam keys for your Beamdog purchases via the support site.

    That works, great! Was perfectly able to play and mod after deleting the cliënt.
