[mod] Fhaugy, the half-orc monk

A new companion is now available at Weasel Mods!

Fhaugy is a neutral half-orc monk, a member of the Twin Tusks circle, which unites individuals who hope to achieve balance — not just the one of nature, but that between inner peace and the will to impact the world. While there is still some anger and burdening experience he finds hard to forget, he does not want to give in to his darker side but find a way to keep things in check. He also has a sense of humor he will gladly share with you, his potential leader and friend.

The Fhaugy mod includes personal quests (1 in SoA and 1 in ToB), friendship talks, and a romance option for a male protagonist of any alignment except for chaotic evil and with 13+ Charisma. Furthermore, Fhaugy has his own custom monk kit (Twin Tusks Monk) and a new half-orc monk inventory paperdoll.

You can find Fhaugy in the Umar Inn in Imnesvale.

    A great concept and an intriguing character! It is also good to have more neutral characters to choose from, so he'll be a great fit on my next playthrough. :)

    The vibrant community releasing mods to this day is one of the big reasons this game is still relevant today. Congrats on your release Lava, he sounds great! Hopefully I will have a time for a complete playthrough (saying that for 2 years now), but he is on my must try list now!

    I'm enjoying this mod, but am having problems finding the sickle to complete his quest, I have a lot of mods, so I want to check something didn't conflict.

    IIRC, once you know you must find it, there should be a new container near the ranger's cabin. I think under one of the bushes, or something.

    =yeah, there must have been a mod conflict, because it's not there, I'll use ee keeper for it.

    Nice mod, interesting character. Must have missed the Acid needed to progress the quest, since I couldn't find it for the life of me (EE Keepered it in)

    How do I cut the vine that blocks the entrance, I found the sickle but still cannot cut it, I wonder I need anything else

    Finally found what I missed out, in case anyone cannot find it
    You need sickle near the cabin, and the acid in the wizard house

    I've not taken any of your NPCs in TOB before, and just wondered what to expect. Similar situational comments to the main roster?

    Few talks, there are banters with original NPCs, epilogue, interjections, you may ask Volo what he wrote about Fhaugy... however, there is also a quest once you reach Amkethran. I usually don't add anything big in ToB, but Fhaugy actually got something bigger there. And if you're romancing him, you will also get some romance talks.

    Going to cross my fingers someone sees this despite the last post being in 2023 😅

    Just downloaded Fhaugy. He seems great, but im stuck on the darn vines. I have the axe-sickle, and i have the acid vial... What am i missing..i still cant push back the vines/ how do i use them? Tried googling but no avail. I'm either missing some information or its bugged. Still says im missing something 😭

    How do i progress the quest? Willing to console command things if it gets me past these vines 😅

    Heyho Lava,

    I found a small issue when installing your Faughy and Faldorn in BG2 Mods. If Faldorn is installed first, it gave me this warning on the faughy setup:

    Probably not much of a Problem, but wanted to mention it anyway.

    If installed vice versa, nothing occurrs and both Mods install fine.

    Are you sure you've got the right items? I just installed the mod and went there to test it again, and it works. You need two items:

    L#FHA2V1 (Arghalnn Sickle +1)
    L#FHA2V2 (Acidic Serum)

    Locations:
    under the bush next to ranger's cabin, Jermien's Home

    So make sure you really have the right items and you are standing next to the vines when you click on them. I cannot reproduce the bug you're reporting, they disappear.

    I tried to reproduce this, but it worked fine for me, HOWEVER I think you are using EET, correct? It looks like it's because Faldorn replaces Fate Spirit's line "Faldorn" and adds my Faldorn in there, and this is an unexpected result. I just realized it may become a problem when you install a lot of BG1 companions for BG2. When they are installed, they usually clear the original Fate Spirit entries. I've done it in a couple of my mods (Faldorn, Skie, and probably a few others...?) and it's also handled that way in other mods as well -- Kulyok's Xan, Tiax, and probably others too.

    Could you do me a favor and start a ToB game and check if Fhaugy is there, just in a different place - perhaps on in the alphabetical order - or if he's missing from the Fate Spirit summoning list?

    Yes, I'm running on an EET Setup.
    I'll check this out as soon as I finished the whole Installation.

    I made some testings and can confirm, that Faughy as well as Faldorn can be summoned in Tob.
    So no Problems on that side, even though I installed both mods the way, the warning appears.
