can't load BG2EE SOA save files moved from a mac to a pc

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi there,

Thank you very much in advance if anyone is able to help me. I have located the save files on my mac, zipped, emailed to myself, and then downloaded them onto my pc. I had to create a "save" folder on my pc, and then put the save files in there.

The only problem is, when I start BG2EE, it looks as if I have no available save data to load. Completely blank.

I went into the PC save folder and noticed that there was an extra "._" in front of each bmp file and so i removed those, hoping it would help. But no luck.

I was successfully able to do this with my BG1EE, BG1EE SOD, files.

Thank you for any ideas of what to try next!

I am using Windows 11

    I guess it means there is another Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition folder in another Documents folder on your PC, on another drive.
