iOS can’t play module created in latest version of main game

I’ve been mucking about trying to get things working on my granddaughter’s iPad, specifically the module I created for her. It didn’t work using the suggestions mentioned before in the Reddit thread I think @JuliusBorisov posted here a while ago. ( I should point out that I did a test module back a while with only one custom asset - fast rest- and it worked great )
However, my larger module for her didn’t work throwing up a list of Haks which had been put loose into an @mods folder inside NWN EE on the iPad. I put that down to the fact it was all bells and whistles as regards modern custom assets so that was ok.
However, I’ve now created a much smaller module with no custom content and I’m getting the message that it was created by a newer version of the game so can’t be opened. I’m using the latest stable patch on my Mac and the toolset works fine under an older version of Crossover (21) and there is no update available on the Apple App Store so it’d be good to know if I’m just going to be knocking my head off a brick wall trying to get this to work. The only thing I can think of that has changed is that I’m using the latest stable patch of the game completed by the community. This shorter module works fine on the iMac.
Should a module created in the toolset with no custom content be immediately playable in the current iOS version of the game or not? If not, are there plans to ensure compatibility given that support for the game is now being done by volunteers? I’m hoping that it is something I’ve done wrong but if not there maybe needs to be a message on the App Store to this effect?

It also applies to saves, even if the module being saved was created under an earlier version.
I’m guessing the problem of game version might not be huge in itself but sorting it in Apple’s closed system might be?
