Mage only party

Has anyone played 6-mage party and if can say how fun it is ? Or how difficult, advantage disadvantage, recommended or pain ?
Definitely need to rush the basilisks obvious otherwise leveling 6 mages in group will take forever.
I can think straight away that traps will be big problem (Durlag). And lack of warrior dps dealer makes things maybe impossible. Or does it ? 6 mages can summon powerful skele warriors.
Main char, Xar (kill Montaron), Edwin, Dynahar, Xan, and Baeloth.

I decided to start with main character Sorcerer - Dragon Disciple. With 6 mages there is no shortage of spells so Dragon Disciple is the best choice me thinks. Rushing the basilisks nets me around 18 000 XP, far away from 32 000 needed before start recruiting. 14 000 deficit is too much for solo so I guess I will have to recruit them at 16 000 markup (level 4 mages). Not bad at all.
Unless I recruit Baeloth who joins level 6 sorcerer (very powerful) and push two-man-solo to 32 000 beating Ankeg. Would need kill 24 Ankeg can be exploited with two sorcerers. If blind connects it is easy job. If it does not connect run from Field of View repeat. Whether I will kill 24 Ankeg really depends if can find easy exploit. I am not sure but if I am far away enough from the Ankeg poison spit it seems like I can dodge the spit (this same thing can be done with Lighting attacks).
But I am confused by the Dragon Disciple skill tree. They get + 1 AC and + 1 Constitution (level 5 and level 16). Why Constitution ? It is meaningless for a sorcerer above 16. Why would they give Constitution, did they mess something up, or I don't know something.
EDIT: Not true that can doge Ankeg spit. Unlike lignthing straight line, the spit follows you.
But I found reliable exploit with Baeloth. Just mirror image him and he is safe (position him in front of main char to get aggro - he has lots of HP for level 6 plus mirror imaged). And cast Web and Blind until it connects because mirror image actually buys you time when you race for failed save). Ankeg seems very vulnerable to Web. Makes him paralyzed and cannot even spit poison. Just finish him with Magic missiles.
My party is ready all recruited at 32 000 XP without even having to bother with Ankegs. I played for a while with this party and I feel it is very strong. Have everything - charms, blinds, horrors, fireballs, webs, tons of magic missiles, and so on. The only serious problem I find is traps and lack of healing. But I sell all weapons and armors which cannot be equipped by the mage class and make lots of money in order to buy healing potions.
Micromanagement is high though as these are not fighter which auto-fight and you just relax. I have to issue orders to each one of them every other round if I feel necessary. It can get annoying and I don't recommend playing with 6 mages as the game is not intended to be played like this. But I am tired of playing fighter classes so this is for entertainment and see how far I reach.
The main question I would have is which mage gets which spells. Some are not easy to get by.
Dragon disciple can summon more reliably their familiars and use them in batlle because if they die the bonus constitution will bring back some lost maximum hitpoints. At high enough constitution it is also possible to get slow regeneration but you need 20 for that.

U could try something like that with other specialist mages too. 👈
