Aerie's small portrait isn't working...

Aerie's large portrait replacement works fine, but she's retaining her original small portrait.
Apparently it wasn't working through most of the game (I'm on chapter 6), but I didn't notice, because I was using a large portrait that was very similar to the original and I didn't notice the minute differences in the small portrait.
However, I recently started using AI generated portraits for all the characters.
With everyone else, I've been able to replace their portraits in the override folder and it works fine.
But with Aerie it's not working. The filename I'm using is NAERIEM.bmp (and NAERIEL.bmp for the large one -- I've also got NAERIES.bmp for good measure).
Any ideas why Aerie, specifically, isn't working? And moreover, any suggestions on how to fix it?
I read elsewhere that it has to do with a script because she appears to be an ogre when first encountered, but that person's recommendation was to use the override folder, which I'm already doing.

I figured it out.
Yes, I was using the override folder, but for some reason, that wasn't working.
The game was prioritizing the file in the portraits folder, for whatever reason. Once I replaced that with the image I wanted, everything worked fine.
