Reinstalling my copy of NWN:EE

How would I go about reinstalling my copy of NWN:EE? I bought this game from BeamDog a long time ago, and am at the point where I would want to reinstall the game. Does Beamdog keep track of what NWN:EE packages users have bought, even if that was years ago?

How would I go about reinstalling Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition?

When I purchased from Beamdog, they gave me a Steam key, which I now use to download updates from Steam.

If you have a similar key, you should be able to reinstall from Steam.

First, thank you for your response! To be perfectly honest, my purchasing NWN:EE from BeamDog was many years ago, whatever key I received is lost to time. I was hoping I could click on a link or a download or something, but right now that seems a bit counterintuitive. What are my options at this point?

Does this mean I need to repurchase NWN:EE outright?

I tried to find the Steam key location, but couldn't find it. Sorry.

I appreciate your taking the time to look for the Steam key location! But what does that mean?

    Do I need to re-purchase NWN:EE?

    No.

@JuliusBorisov can you remind us how to find the Steam key?

    Found it!

These instructions still work for me.

Thank you so much!!! I do not have the time to do this now, I still have to get ready for work. But I will try my best to expedite this, hopefully later today. If I have any questions, I will certainly post them here.

Hey there!! I just had the time to read your message and click on the link. Much appreciated!! I am trying to find the game keys tab, but I don't see it anywhere. Can you steer me in the right direction, please? I am sorry if I am missing something painfully obvious, I do apologize!

Ok, this is getting frustrating!!! I log into Beamdog.com, went to my account, but all that is listed is my profile. I tried entering "store/beamdog.com/users", but get an error screen. I tried logging out and back in, but it skips my whole account and goes directly into discussions. I know I must be missing something really, really simple, and I do apologize.

did you login to the forums? or into beamdog? I made the same mistake looking at it.

    go to beamdog's home page.

Hey guys!! Thanks for your help. I did not have time to devote to this situation till now - before my work shift starts - I found my game keys and where the product activation keys are entered in Steam, but after I typed in the first key (the NWN:EE game itself), i am getting a message saying that the key is invalid. Not sure why. Just to make sure, I copied and pasted the key into the correct field on the Steam page, but again, I am getting an error message. Your thoughts?

What you need to activate on steam is the steam key, not the game key

Oh, my mistake!!!! I did not see that most keys are Steam keys, but the game is different than those. I tried to put in the code for NWN:EE because I checked my Steam library, and the game is not listed. I think I am really missing something here. I am sorry for making this so difficult.

Sorry, I took another look at the screen with the keys, I completely missed the Steam key for NWN:EE - my mistake. I do appreciate all of your help!! Thanks so much!!

A quick thought - so I now have NWN:EE in my Steam Library. I thank you guys for helping me with this. That said, I went and tried to find where this game is now installed - what drive - but I simply can't find it. I went on Steam and looked in my storage for the NWN:EE listing, I don't see it. For clarifications sake, I went on the storage tab at the Steam main page, and checked on every game I have installed on my PC via Steam. I do not see NWN:EE listed anywhere, Not sure if this is a Steam issue or a NWN:EE issue, if its got to do with the game, I hope you guys can help. If its a Steam issue, I will try that route. Please let me know!! Thanks so much!!

    My copy is installed through
    C: / Users / ComputerName / Beamdog Library

I did not install through steam though, so not sure if it will be different...

You might also look in your Documents folder as there is where all my files is use for the game are. Haks, modules and what not.

Steam games are stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common.

By default, user content (e.g saves, mods) is in Documents\Neverwinter Nights.

hmm. I checked where Proleric said to find my steam games, which I did, but NWN:EE is not listed there. I did find the game files like he said in documents/Neverwinter Nights. I do not see any applications or such where NWN:EE could be loaded to play on. I am trying to move my NWN:EE files to my D: drive. I did have a bit of a conversation with another user - they said to go on Steam, click on settings, then on storage, and then I can move files/games from my C: drive to D: drive, which is my ultimate goal here. And again, NWN:EE is not listed in my Steam storage page as well. I am at a loss for where my newly installed NWN:EE is located. I am glad I can play, but I am trying to move all my Steam games from C: drive to D: drive, mainly because I want to have all of my games on D: drive, and I need to open up some space on my C: drive as well.

I am sorry, every time I tried to indicate my D drive, it showed an emoji. Just for clarifications sake, I will retype what my last message should have been...
I am trying to move all of my games from my C drive to my D drive. I know how to move games on Steam from one drive to another - via settings/storage - and that is fine, but when I look on Steam for NWN:EE, it is listed in my games library, but I cannot find it anywhere on my C or D drive. I tried going to "my pc" and search, I find my original saves in Documents, but I simply cannot find my NWN:EE files (applications and such) anywhere. Again, I am moving all of my games from C drive to D drive, but I cannot find where NWN:EE is currently installed. I really do hope that someone can help me!!!!
