Increase throwing dagger skill?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I noticed there is no skill to level up for throwing daggers. If I level up just daggers will this apply for throwing daggers also?

    I saw now that proficiency for throwing daggers is same as daggers sorry for asking this question.

    Yes, both melee and throwing daggers are just daggers. Same with axes.
