Many quests not available because im in chapter 7?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I am wondering if I am missing out on quests because im in chapter 7? Are some quests not available anymore because I progressed so far into the story?. The only thing I have left now is killing Sarevok. is there even any point in looking for sidequests with this character?
Should I just go to Sarevok fight and finish the game?

    you can finish any quest in the game in chapter 7

    the only quests you would have been able to finish would be;

    prologue quests in candlekeep if you didnt finish those before you left
    or
    werewolf island quest you didnt complete if you already came back

    Hmmm... Then why am I not finding Aldeth Sashenstar. He just does not appear outside the hunting lodge in cloakwood.

    did you talk to him in chapter 4 when you first went into cloakwood?

    fair enough, but for the most part any quest except for a very few small exceptions you should be able to finish

    if i do recall.... i do think sometimes he can bug out if you do not speak to him in chapter 4 and depending on what you do in BG the city

    or, if you did, there could be a possibility that he is chilling outside the merchant's league in BG the city ( the same area as the flaming fist compound ) did you check to see if he is there?

    Yes I did check, he was not there.

    You cannot complete the thieves' guild quest in baldur's gate. You need to do it before returning to Candlekeep in chapter 6.
