Cavalier can't cast "cure light wounds" ?

I made a new character, a cavalier. I bought cure light wounds in candlekeep but can not cast it. Does not appear in the spellbook either. Can't this class cast healing spells?

Paladins don't get priest spells until level 9. You have Lay On Hands as a special ability (star menu).
To use a scroll you need at least 9 INT.

Oh god, this is too funny.

So, what you bought there was through a priest interface where you can pay them to cast their spell on you.

For the record all divine magic is learned through just leveling up.

ah... I see now... Yeah im stupid when it comes to this game. I play a lot of RPGs but only easy, mainstream ones like elder scrolls or fallout or mass effect etc... This game takes a lot of time for me to learn.

Oh, I just found it funny because I never would've thought that would happen but now that it did I can totally see how it would.

That whole screen doesn't tend see any use unless someone needs to be resurrected and if you never dealt with divine casters and reload on deaths I could see how that mistake could come about.
