At Deepstone Clanhold, After I free the dwarves who were chopping down trees, I take the offer to ride the logs to the secret entrance. he tells me to stay quiet, a sharran walks up to the group, and the cutscene never ends. I have no choice but to force-quit the game. unfortunate to see this bug has persisted all this time.

Cutscenes breaking like that ... it happens sometimes. It could be a scripting bug, or (most likely in this case) just a transitory glitch. Reload a save and try again. It'll probably work.

Indeed, cutscenes sometimes break. What may help is to re-load and try
again. Sometimes it seems as if too many objects / items also cause issues;
I had odd bugs in regards to some item mods with some items too. It seems
as if the game engine sometimes does many things "in between" and that may
lead to more likely breaks or bugs. Note that I did not reproduce your bugs,
although I do not doubt it has happened; there are sometimes odd conditional
checks that may lead to problems. Have a thorough look at what you may have
installed, whether you can change sometimes, perhaps even do a test-play with
just the main character and see whether that makes a difference to the cut
scene.
