Artificial Intelligence generated content for General Modding?

So, we have seen some use of AI already. Various voice-over mods make
use of AI, for instance. There are also some AI generated images in some mods (I
don't want to mention any names here, as I could be wrong, but I am almost 100%
certain that some images are AI generated).

Do we also have AI-generated images? I don't necessarily mean the
stats in text-files, but graphics, e. g. "AI, generate a light-reddish
coloured glowing spear" or something like that, and one or several
images would be generated from which one can pick one.

How about 3D models and tiles? I saw in other threads elsewhere that
some use AI to autogenerate tiles. They in general don't look that
great, but could perhaps serve as a starter-model for later refinements,
or perhaps one day fully-generated content for a mod.

Anyone has some interesting AI-generation to share? Can be related to
the game engine itself but also more generally, where AI may be
impressive. (I put this into the General Discussion under General Modding,
as it seems to fit best therein, even though I am mostly interested in
AI-generation for BG2; but the various games are quite similar to
one another, so it seems to fit best under a more general topic.)

For myself, I absolutely love using AI image generators. It brings things to life for me. And I can show *my* characters and my team experiencing the game/story. Even to say, I can use the style and mood I want for each point in the game. It has completely renewed and recharged my interest in these games (I’ve played them many times since they were new, now they’re fresh in a way).
So far, there’s a lot of limitations on what you can do. The biggest to me, is just how hard it gets to render more than two characters doing something. Presumably, this will improve as we see the technology develop. I can imagine, at some point being able to render my whole crew of six doing a specific thing together. That seriously excites me.
My current illustrated playthrough is “Chuck and Sarah”. I’ve done several such, that are all up at “Davesgaming”.

Now that is all just AI art and renders. As you mention. We’ve already seen application on voices, and presumably other parts of mod design. And that’s where I think it gets really exciting. I can think of two things I’d like to see, one is the improvement of things like the game’s internal AI and pathfinding. The second is continuing to improve images and graphics, possibly, without even altering the game’s base code at all. That is, a sort of AI overlay, like showing characters in lifelike detail. Or a fluid anime style. Or whatever appeals to the player.
Back in the day, I was a huge fan of the Gold Box games. And I plan on doing an AI illustrated playthrough of those games in the future. But I drool at the idea of enhancing graphics and game engine on those, again this seems like an opportunity for an AI overlay sort of thing. For over 20 years I’ve thought of it like a Star Trek computer “computer, I want to play ‘Pool of Radiance’ in the Infinity Engine.” Now, I’m thinking we might actually get there in my lifetime with AI.
