in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
i finished Neera's quest, and much later recruited Rasaad and started his companion quest, eventually freeing Wilson and having him join the party. i then went to the guy at the Hidden refuge that wanted to see Wilson initially, but now he only has one line of dialogue and nothing about the bear. Any idea why his quest got cancelled?

    The hidden refuge subquests must be done before advancing the main Neera quest.

    I also ran into that when I first solved Neera's quest. Wilson is a funny and strong furry, but being unable to wear armour or use weapons and items makes him overall less effective compared to others, in my opinion. I did play through all of Neera's sidequests once (there are walkthroughs too), but in later play throughs I tend to only get the necklace and the healing brew/keg, the rest I ignore just to finish the quest. It's fun to solve it once completely though; most annoying one is the one where you have to catch the cats; that takes the longest IMO.

    OMG! Those cats! I wanted to kill and skin every one of those rancid little fur-bags by the time I was finished!

    One little trick: the cats escape from your protagonist, regardless of who's picking them up. So you leave player 1 in the northeast corner and have another party member gather them up, then grab any escaped teleporting cats at the end.
