Cannot summon the EE NPCs with Fate Spirit at start of TOB

So... I did all the quests of all the EE NPCs during a run through SOA, by swapping them into and out of the party. I took Rasaad and Neera with the main party that actually went on to TOB.

However it appears that I cannot summon Dorn or Hexxat with the Fate Spirit.

I wondered if I'd killed them off (it was a long time ago), SO, I made a new character... beat Illasera with her... started the pocket plane for the first time again... And I still could not summon ANY of the EE NPCs in the Pocket Plane via the Fate Spirit. Neera, Rasaad, Dorn and Hexxat were not available - NONE of them.

I have one single NPC mod installed, Kelsey the sorcerer... and he *was* available, and can even be summoned in mid-romance (a facility not offered by any of the regular romanceable NPCs, Jaheira, Aerie, Viconia or Anomen - I believe you don't get the option to summon Anomen as Sir Anomen either.)

So... Is Kelsey's presence and mod interfering somehow with the summoning of the EE NPCs, or were they simply never made summonable at the Fate Spirit?

(I note that their quests have some follow-through from SOA, in Hexxat's case including an object or two, and in Dorn's case including the state of his patron sword and the identity of his patron.)

Further note: To be honest, what I suspect has happened, is that a version with the mod was affected by an auto-update through Steam... If that is true, does that happen to other people who install mods via the old WeiDU utility?

Yes if you have Steam autoupdate activated it will overwrite your modded game.
That's why it is recommended to make a copy of the game directory elsewhere and to mod this copy and not the Steam default game directory.
Also all mods since years are installed with WeiDU.

The dialogue to summon the NPCs is structured so that Kelsey mod can't disable the EE NPCs only.
It sounds as if the recognition doesn't work in your game. It checks whether the content is present ("HasDLC()"). This check doesn't seem to work in your game if you say you have the EE NPCs.

You remind me an earlier Dragonspear UI version indeed disable the EE NPC.
