In the main README you mention that the mod is, in principle, complete, in the sense from a gameplay perspective (that is in simpler terms, we could play it), with the restriction that it is currently in german only for beta-testing. Here on the 20th August you mention that it may not yet be ready for beta-testing, e. g. "I currently expect that I’ll need a few additional weeks before the open beta is ready for release."
Does this also mean that you encourage german-speaking folks to test it right now (assuming from the content on the README at github) and provide feedback for it? Or is that still to be tested rather at a later time? The reason I am asking is that I could install fewer mods than usual in a new (shorter) run-through, specifically with the aim to test the mod. I don't mind german as such, even though I prefer english, but of course I understand german completely. (I also see you have many todo-entries at the github issue, so perhaps you may not want many more new issues there; I am fine testing this at a later time, so mostly just asking out of curiosity. )
Edit: Just for clarification what I meant with test run-through, I'd play test it specifically with the aim of giving feedback, ranging from small to mostly medium suggestions (a bit similar to when the call of the lost goddess was initially released), but I'll more specifically gather everything into a local file from the get go, to provide a more "unified" feedback. Usually playing a mod for the first time gives the best feedback in that I can look at things from a totally fresh perspective, whereas on a later play-through, that feedback in turn is often quite biased already, largely because one may have played it already, and thus no longer notice certain things anymore. (I was surprised to see lateron with regards to the call of the lost goddess of some changes; probably the biggest visual surprise was that the contact in the demon city fattened up and got bigger. He now looks more like a proper demon, if I remember correctly from the earlier sprites, or whatever models were used.)
I’d really appreciate as much feedback as possible from the German community, and I’ll post an update here as well once the mod is ready for open beta testing.
Some people wanted to install the mod as a placeholder in their EET setup already, so I decided to make the repository public in advance.
The current issues are a mix of actual bugs and ideas for later improvements; not all of them need to be resolved before the open beta.
EDIT: … and please do not fork, traify or translate the mod in its current state. Many things are likely to change during and after the German beta. Translations need to wait until the mod has reached a final state.

I posted an update in the German BG forum here:

Here’s what I’ve written about what still needs to be done before the beta:
