Unable to connect to Beamdog, No previous login detected issue...

Which is strange because I was just building a mod the day before.

Problem is specifically with NWN:EE. Have checked other forums and did not find anything helpful. Only thing to have changed on PC was new sub for Microsoft 365.

So, if I'm reading the rest of this stuff correctly, I have to buy a sub with another provider (GOG or Steam), use my existing CD keys there and I'll be able to launch?

Also, if I can run the thing from the .exe file, I've looked everywhere for it and can't find it.

It is literally in the FAQ I posted. You don't need to buy another copy. You just log into your Beamdog Store account, pick the version you'd like (Steam, GOG or Epic), and it generates a key for you.
