Hello,
for the 25th anniversary of BG2. I decided to share some of my personal portraits.
I've been doing it since the very beginning of BG1 for my games and my own enjoyment.
So, tell me what you think about it
Here is the first. (210 x 330 bmp)

I don't really remember the dates ...After many computers and hard drives...
It must be from before 2003.
It's difficult to know exactly which ones are my first portraits.
But I've always had some portraits that I wasn't 100% satisfied with.
And so I recently decided to recreate them.
In a balanced group, you often have at least 3 warriors or variants, so in terms of portraits, you quickly run out of armored characters.
Since my portraits were 110x170... Enlarged to 210x330 they became really ugly
This is what it looks like -->
My first character was a Paladin
In BG2 he will become a Knight.
In Third, a Undead Hunter
Fourth, a Wizard Slayer
In Fifth Grade, a Berserker
This one has changed the most; in reality, it should make a very decent Kalid with a few modifications.
And Finally, my Fighter\Mage
Since the armor is specific to this class, I've added another one.
I agree, good job !
Also love your Elminster
When I posted, I'd just looked at LavaDelVortel's post about her Khalid mod, and it seemed obvious.
Her portrait is very well done and very beautiful, but I don't think her face looks very half-elf like.
For Elminster,
I started with the Christmas version, created on 24/12/2024 in approximately 2 h 30.
While modifying it, I came across a photo by Ed Greenwood.
Since it was a good match, I thought there was something original and interesting to do.
I must admit that I'm quite pleased with the result myself.
So, thanks again !
First, since Khalid's a wimp, we're moving his piercings and earrings.
We're changing his armor to something closer to the one he wore in the first encounter.
The hairstyle is good, but we're changing the color (I had to restart the game to remove his helmet, lol).
It gives this
I like the result.
I was right in the middle of my Stargate SG1 series phase.
So, I wanted to create a character that resembled Teal'c.
If I remember correctly, I obtained the face with a slightly modified Minsc reflection.
The result was convincing, but could be better...
After the modification, it already looks more like it.
