Advise on BG web novel publishing
I've tried to contact Beamdog through their PR email and it looks like Aspyr support site is only for support questions. No response through the PR email, so not sure if they have someone reading the email or not. My message was something like below:
So, does anyone have any idea how to get through to Beamdog properly?
Alternatively, does anyone have advice to publish a BG web novel that's okay with Beamdog?
PS. Title is "Aura-farming in Baldur's Gate is hard when you're a halfling".
I wanted to check what Beamdog's policy on Baldur's Gate fanfiction is. While fan-fiction for the game has been around for a long time, there are new platforms and forms that didn't exist previously.
Specifically, would Beamdog be against a web novel being posted to the Webnovel, RoyalRoad, or another platform that could potentially (though unlikely) generate revenue for the fanfiction writer?
If it is frowned upon, how would one go about getting permission from Beamdog to publish a Baldur's Gate web novel? Egs. send drafts to Beamdog to be okayed by their content team? All revenue goes to Beamdog, that type of thing.
I'm not actually out to make money (it's a terrible way to make money), I was just hoping to introduce Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition to a new audience.

Ooooh, thanks! I guess you're saying this would fall under WotC, not Beamdog then?
