Evil Fighter BG2 companions?

AKrugBierAKrugBier Member Posts: 113
The lack of evil fighter characters in BG2 is crazy.

Are there actually any well written companion mods for BG2 out there that add an evil fighter to the game?

I know Valen. Not a fan of this one, especially how the character was implemented into the game (plus all the download links seems to be down for the new version).

Never heard of Rylorn before, but this mod seems to be incredible old, and this is just asking for trouble. Besides, some of the dialogue I read in the banter files is just incredible cringe. Not even going to bother with this one.

Dusk looks like a more polished companion mod, though I am not sure if I like all the extra stuff that the companion mods brings with it. Plus he isn't evil from the get-go, and looks like a mary-sue.

I am really looking for a NPC mod like for example Adrian by the incredible mod author Rhaella, which feels grounded, doesn't add much extra stuff to the game (besides one or two quests), and is well written.

There is also half-orc gladiator, https://github.com/Spellhold-Studios/Ariena-NPC
Orginally made for BG2, the other modder adjust to Bgee2 demandings, but can't confirm stabilitty, havent tested yet.
    https://github.com/11jo/Kim_NPC/tree/main?tab=readme-ov-file
Or Kim , non-english voiced thief.

    https://skitias-stories.com/mods-view.php?name=Isaac
Here is also one more, evil thief (capable to dual-class into fighter)
Issac, but in pack with 5 other characters of the same author.

Or the last option, "most cold-hearted assasin, animals hater , and rather crazy personalitty in terms of FR".

Choices are always limited and very often could break the game balance...
    You may check the following:
Verr'Sza that now has a BG2 parts but a ranger
Lena that comes with its own kit and stuff
BG1 NPCs for SOA-TOB (Shar Teel, Kagain, Montaron)
The Undying (2 npcs and one is an evil fighter)

    There are maybe as well:
    Anishai (evil monk)
Severian de Demerya (fighter Chaotic Neutral)

Well, the background is that he is more good; he even wants to pick a fight with Dorn. So it is kind of the antithesis.

You are right that there are few evil warriors. Guess the archetype is Korgan; then there is a bit of a lack. But who knows, perhaps someone feels inspired to present a solid, evil-aligned based warrior with some uniqueness.

It could be that people have a harder time creating evil NPCs. They tend to have very twisted background stories usually; or a story that explains how they ended up being evil. But who knows, perhaps someone may be inspired to give it a try. There are not so many options available if you want an evil warrior character from the get go though.

Please do not use anything made (stolen) by Roxanne.

There is a version of Ariena that I believe is supported (not by the original author but at least with permission) located at https://github.com/Spellhold-Studios/Ariena-NPC

Dusk is not bad at all. Try him, you won't regret it.
