Testing out 2.7.2 Android

Hi guys. Testing out 2.7.2 and its working. Able to access new save folders and add custom portraits.

The folder was created in the documents folder as expected once the game is launched. Once I made a new game save it went to a new saves folder in the new directory. Added a portraits folder and added custom portraits and they worked as expected as well. So far so good!

Note to others be careful adding a lot of new files into the new file directory at once, when you load for first time the game reads all those files while sitting at the android start up screen and can appear hung up, but will load after a minute or two.

Going to play through the game now and see if any issues pop up while playing.

It works great so far. Though the old command console mod has some conflicts. In the character script screen, the words on the buttons for different behaviors are not displayed. Same goes for when importing existing characters.

Thanks for testing. We've seen a few reports about slow loading times.

    From our QA:

2.7.2 should allow people to directly access <root>/Android/data/<game>/files/ again, though potentially only by connecting the phone to PC with USB.

If players with a lot of mods are able to access that folder, they could avoid the boot slowness entirely by ignoring the <root>/Documents/<game> folder, and putting the mods into .../data/<game>/files/override themselves.

The one big caveat is that you would need to delete all non-save folders in <root>/Documents/<game> ! If you left an override folder in there, for example, on boot the game will assume the user wants to use that instead of whatever is in .../data/<game>/files/override , and it'll delete the data one and replace it with the one from Documents.

But if the Documents/<game>/override folder doesn't exist at all, the game will leave the .../data/<game>/files/override alone

Also if you can't access that still, and you've uninstalled the game and installed 2.7.2 fresh, we'd really like to know what phone and what Android version you have, and what kind of PC you've tried connecting to (Windows/Mac/Linux).

Uninstalling will delete all old saves, so first upgrade to 2.7.2 and re-save anything they want to keep, and copy them from <root>/Documents/<game>/save onto a PC or something so that you don't lose them during the uninstall.
