Arkanis Gath can be annoying

Some time ago, I had a bug where the shadow thief key is not transferred into my party's inventory.
This is the one you pay 15.000 gold coins for.
I had another mod installed though, the one that offers a third solution e. g. a third party that plays
a role in this setup. Here, with that third solution, I have to fight down the shadow thieves AND the vampires. Now, for some reason, I decided to recruit Edwin, then attack Renal. (I like his boots ...
greedy me.)
I also failed to kill Maevar at that time before, so now Renal is dead, and Arkanis Gath is chasing my
party because I failed at killing Maevar (I am not sure which conditions have to be met here, perhaps
if Renal is killed then Arkanis may not show up, but when I attacked Renal, Arkanis was inside the
building, so I had to flee quickly; he hunted me down some days later, probably due to the Maevar situation).
That behaviour of Arkanis is described here:

I did not know Death Ward protects here, but I managed to be faster than Arkanis, with a hasted
party, and avoided him usually, except at the place where you need a rogue stone. Arkanis
got my main character finally. Perhaps Death Ward may have helped here but Arkanis seems
to block the exit too, so pushing him out of the way may be hard.
What I find unfortunate is that he is immune from being killed though. If people want to piss off Renal and Arkanis, I highly recommend to do all quests in the Bridge district first - this may be easier. Doing the quests while Renal is chasing you is still possible for the most part (though it can be difficult to escape him), but for me the rogue stone area was a dead end, since Arkanis blocked the exit to the outside.
Interestingly I think there is also a bug with the slay-action that Arkanis has, because when he initiates the strike, even when the target is then away some distance, the target still dies. Perhaps this is a flawed animation, but normally when my party runs away, I can often seem to dodge the hit of a slower enemy if I am out of range. Some effects can be used to tie him down (I think bigby's clenched fist might also work, some vines may exist too or one spell from Lava's mod). All in all I found it quite surprising.
One thing that I think is wrong at the wiki is that Arkanis may appear anywhere. I only saw him chase my party in the Bridge district, and the code seems to "spawn" him in a default location. At the least I think this is the way because when I rush to that location, it is the shortest time for him to suddenly appear out of nowhere. So I think he also cheats here.
