Disappearing comment... is it being reviewed or something?

Sorry, I don't know if this is the right section to ask this: but I just posted a comment on a mod about some detail of it, but after I clicked post, there was just nothing that showed up. Is this normal for a new account, and is it just in some moderation queue? Or did something to wrong and do I need to write a new comment? (I kind of want to avoid just writing the same thing twice but in a slightly different weird way.)
