Northern Tales of the Sword Coast Shilo Chen bug

Good evening from Italy. I'm playing Baldur's Gate EET and now I finished Dark Side of the Sword Coast and now I should to start Northern Tales of the Sword Coast and the first quest is about Shilo Chen and an Ogre Magi. Shilo Chen should be situated at the Baldur's Gate bridge but he isn't there. I used the CLUAConsole to let him appear but he talks about another quest. Could you help me please?

    I had a much less modded game with unfinished business and BG1 NPC project. Shilo Chen was added by unfinished business in my game and you could meet him on the ground floor of the Elfsong Tavern. If you have difficulty locating the Ogre Magi (as I did at first) see spoiler below:


    "The wood of sharp teeth" is southeast of baldurs gate i.e. opposite cloakwood. Search peldvale or larswood, it is one of those two.

    NTotSC does not add Shilo Chen. bg1ub us the only mod that does.

    @Very_BigSword @jastey On the walkthrough I read that Shilo Chen should give me the quest of the Ogre magi but Shilo isn't at the baldur's gate bridge. By the way I found the ogre magi at the bandit camp.
    Another thing that make me suspicious is that Shaella the crazy priest that should be near the magic store she isn't there.

    I think the walkthrough is your problem. It does not seem to be specific to the mods you are using, or there are components of one that got over-written by another.

    Shilo Chen is not normally at the bridge. He should be at the Elfsong Tavern, ground floor.

    Shaella is not normally near the magic store (Sorcerous Sundries). She should be in the city map west of there, Blade and Stars Tavern, ground floor.

    @LayneStaley The updated NTotSC (starting with v2.0.0) differs slightly from the old walkthough. The reason Shaella is no longer outside on the streets in Baldur's Gate is that the old NTotSC inserted a doubled version of her although she is original content. That is why now she is found inside Blade and Stars.

    Shilo Chen wasn't included into the old BGT-version, either. As far as I know, bg1ub is the only mod restoring him.

    @jastey Ah now it's clear. But after I took the quest from Shaella about the book, if I start again a dialogue with her I can tell to her that I didn't find the book even before that I go to Candlekeep and when I go out I start the dialogue with Hasdar. Another one is that even if I don't tell to Shaella that I don't find the book the dialogue with Hasdar starts the same. What do you know about that?

    That is intended behavior. My reasoning:
    1. The PC already spent 99% of his/her life in Candlekeep. The assumption is that he/she saw enough from the library to say that it's not there.
    2. the quest should start as soon as possible
    3. the quest should be available to all PCs (Hasdar did overhear the conversation nontheless, and since he knows where the book is, he just tries to interest the PC for the book no matter what he/she said to Shaella before.)

    Does this make sense?
