Nameplates

Hi, all!!
Have not played in any of EE for couple of years, so this 2.0 is all new to me.
Could somebody, PLEASE, explain to me how to turn OFF nameplates when you press TAB button. I want only items to be highlighted. I've searched the entirety of options available through the main menu, but did not seem to find such an option. Have I missed it? Is there such an option, or a way to make the game work as I want to, perhaps, through a mod or some file tweaking.

    Is this still being worked on? I'm playing on tablet and I tend to leave the highlight tool on because it's easier without keyboard. The nameplates are super huge on such a small screen.

    Will it be done for all the games (iwd, bg1, bg2 and so on) and for the tablet version?

    I do have a suggestion if this is ever to be done, add a option to keep NPCs nameplates so we can see who's "townsmen" and who's named NPCs.

    However no nameplates are better than all nameplates.

    This seems to be incorporated in other UI-Mods already. But as none of them have worked for me I just made a quick standalone-fix myself: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/79221/mod-reveal-details-textbox-remover
