I'm looking for a good hosting service for my PW until I purchase my own server to host from home. Anyone have any good recommendations? I stumbled upon this company, but some of the reviews scare me.

    I am unsure which one is most used for NWN, but as a dev I've used this popular site to look at the latest competition and deals for servers: https://lowendbox.com/ You can get servers with 2-4 cores, 4 GB RAM, more than enough SSD disk space and fast bandwidth for $30-40/year these days.

    You can find any old PC for a few bucks, or even grab one from a trashbin, install Ubuntu on it and have your NWN server running in a matter of minutes.

    Thanks. I'm was actually planning on buying a PC to host it very soon. Never used Ubuntu, so I might just take you up on that offer when I'm ready. :)

    We are currently using Citadel servers. They are not bad, however, they have also gone down a few times on us. We have been on them since September 2018.

    I like having a server operating system instead of Windows 7 or Windows 10 to work with and that is an advantage of using Citadel.

    Ironically, we moved off a dedicated server due to issues with its location. It was in an area that had a lot of wind storms and lost power frequently. The other issue is that it is easier to set up multiple administrators on a cloud based system.

    We use http://hivelocity.net/ for our hosting. We have had stellar grade service and uptime is pretty well unshakable.

    So, don't choose Citadel Servers. Everything you read is true, which means their advertised dedicated NWN service is either a scam or they intentionally choose not to fix it even after many customer complaints. I eventually had to have PayPal force charge a refund from them, after about a month of back-and-forth.
