Beamdog Client stopped recognizing installed games

Been working on a few BG series runs over a few months, but when I started up the client today, it no longer recognized that I had any games installed. I have BG1+SoD, BG2, and IWD installed currently. So I guess I have two questions:
1. How does something like this happen?
2. How can I fix it?

I tried signing out and back in to the client, and I tried re-setting the install path.

    If you have troubles with the Client, just run the games from their .exe directly.

    Yeah, I've been doing that since yesterday. But it'd be nice if the client, you know, worked. *grumpy sounds*
