Old BG references and such

  I'm choosing to believe this is an easter egg referring to Phlydia, Dreppin, and Nessa the cow back in Candlekeep:
  
  At the camp in the beginning of the game, there are two cows (technically they call them oxen, but we know they're really cows), who are standing near some hay. If you speak to them (via speak with animals), one will complain that they can't eat their hay because the tieflings keep hiding things in it. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything in the hay (maybe I failed a hidden perception check?), but it seems too on the nose to be anything but a reference to the start of Baldur's Gate.

  Possible reference to BG1? Especially the bit about Lycanthropy and it causing more harm than curing.

  Well Belladonna is a poisonous plant. Although, I do think only Baldur's Gate references it with lycanthropy. The forgotten realms wiki also calls it wolfbane, but those are two completely different plants... well not completely different. They're both poisonous and purple.

  For me it was the fact that they said it causes more harm than curing. A common belief for a time was that it could help in BG1 with the curse. When really eating it just makes you take poison damage.

  I have heard talk of a note that mentions someone claiming to be Sarevok, but I have yet to confirm it.
