Reinstallation after format and recovery of the backup (modded game)

Hello everybody,

Recently I have had to reinstall Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I made a backup of both the game directory and the user data directory prior to reinstalling Windows. By the time I made the backup copies, I was playing chapter 9 of Siege of Dragonspear. I had mods installed, mainly many tweaks.

I was planning to install my copy of the game (from GOG) directly on C:\, as I usually do. I would run the game once then, just in case it is a necessary step. Finally, I would paste my backed up copies over the recently created on the installation of the game. This way I would save the hassle of having to install all the mods again. Do you think this would work? Thank you.

No, you still need to re-install all the mods. None of the dialog strings, items, or npcs from mods would work. Errors could be as simple as no text working or items and charactrers disappearing, or even game crash.
