Deekin not gaining Red Dragon Disciple levels in HOTU

I just finished HOTU with a level 28 character, and apparently Deekin is still stuck as a single class Bard. I did set his training to concentrate on Red Dragon Disciple only to no avail.

    Can confirm this, though i'm still on the first level of the Undermountain. Set Deekin to train as RDD, has gained two levels in bard since.

    This issue was fixed by the last NWN patch.

    Years later, but I'm playing HOTU on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Deekin will not level as a RDD at all. I've told him to level as one, to level as a bard, and to level as both, yet he only adds bard levels. I want my little buddy to spread his wings and fly, to prove his dreams can come true.
