Transferring BG2EE save files from PC to iOS 15.4??

I’m having some trouble importing my save file from BG2EE from my PC to my iPhone. Phone currently running latest version 15.4.
I followed the method outlined here:

When in Files, I am given no option to open .bg2save in BG2EE. I cannot copy nor share. The only way I’ve managed to have the phone recognize the file type is if I send the uncompressed Save Folder thru gmail, but upon opening it says it has 0 KB. I select the app and nothing happens. It will open, but the save is not there.
Any tips? Seems the methods above were from a few years ago and no longer work.

I might be able to help. But first some questions:
1) the save game from your pc, is that from a game that has run on a pc og and Old iOS savefile.
2)?And which version of the game is it: 2.4 or 2.5 or another?
