Looks so cool! Are you looking for someone's help with translation?

Thank you very much! Any help is appreciated! Which language are we talking about?
  • jdem93jdem93 Member Posts: 5
I could translate English to Polish

Oh, great! So far, only Dark Tidings has been translated into Polish. B)

Any news on the progress? How is the Beta going? Do you have a broadly estimated release date?

The mod is currently on hold because I'm in the final stages of releasing a new, smaller mod. After that, I'll continue with Silverrealms. Release date is 2027.

*** EDIT: I got the year wrong - Silverrealms will be released in 2026, so next year.

Looking forward to all your releases Acifer! 2027 seems so far way, but good things come to those who wait!

Yeah, first there's Man of Tomorrow, then The Witcher 4 and now this. We're gonna eat good in 2027.

Sorry guys, I made a mistake. I got the year wrong - Silverrealms will be released in 2026, next year. :p
I’m already quite far along with it.

So "plan on a dwarf playthrough" next year is what you're saying, right?

Yes! However, the mod will work with any race and won't provide a huge amount of rewards or separate roleplaying options specifically designed for dwarves.

I am super hyped for this and Skyfire.

Do you have plans on making Expansion sized mods for BG EE at all or know of anyone that did?

No, I have no plans to create an expansion for BG1EE.

Will you translate that into German as well?

Well... since Acifer is a member of the german community, chances are high I guess... ;)
  • AciferAcifer Member Posts: 407
In fact, the mod currently only exists in German.
I would be very happy to find German-speaking beta testers in the nearest future before I translate the mod into English. :)
With this approach, I can be certain that all the quests meet the highest possible standards.

Hello Acifer and community, I hope you are all having a nice day.

Not that i intend to rush anything as i understand and respect the creative pace an artist follows, but id appreciate an update so i can know how to plan my further runs. Since the new "patch" for Baldurs Gate is coming out, will it delay the release of Silverrealms and the smaller Sneakwood mod? And if so will there be a version for people still using the un-patched current game version?

Also it would be delightful to hear any news or get sneak peeks on Silverrealms and your other mods as well as a possible update on how the beta is going.

    Thanks in advance, cheers!

Have you been to Acifer's patreon? Plenty of previews there

Btw the patch just seems to be about cloud saving no? That should hopefully not break much.

I don’t expect major compatibility issues with the upcoming patch. I aim to keep my mods playable on v2.5, 2.6, and 2.7. Since I play and test on the iPad myself, the mods are always still compatible with 2.5.

And yes, I’ve been posting regular development updates on my Patreon since last year. I mainly use the platform as a blog or to start polls. There are no paywalls or other obligations associated with that. Since I don’t have a proper website or blog of my own, this has proven to be a reliable place to share previews and progress updates for anyone who's interested.

I mean, it does have a paywall if you want to see The Making of The Call of The Lost Goddess and the sneak peek of both Loretakers III and the Moonshae mod.

That’s true - but those aren’t part of the regular dev diaries. I prefer not to make big public announcements about mods that are still far in the future, so those along with the making-of are simply a small thank-you for supporters.
The monthly development reports themselves have always remained fully open.

Acifer and Nymrod85 thank you for your time. I was not aware of Acifers Patreon page, I'll surely check it out!

Silverrealms – German Open Beta planned for September 13th

After many years of development, I am currently planning to release the German Open Beta of Silverrealms on September 13th.
Unfortunately, I can no longer create new topics on the German subforum, so I am posting this announcement here.

Since many players will likely be preparing fresh installations with the release of BG2EE v2.7, I wanted to announce the date early so interested players can take the mod into account when planning their installations.

Please note that this announcement is aimed at German-speaking players, as the upcoming Open Beta will only be available in German.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback. A thoroughly tested German beta will serve as the foundation for the creation and release of the English version. Every bug report, balance observation, and feedback helps improve the mod and brings the English release one step closer.

More information will follow in the coming two months.

    @Acifer
Thank you for your announcement. While this may be early, let me know what sort of help you want with English translation and proofreading.

This is so exciting! That art is phenomenal and its been tantalizing us for ages.
  • AciferAcifer Member Posts: 407
Thank you, @Ksander ! I’m happy to hear that. The artwork is actually one of my favorite parts of modding, and Silverrealms has probably received more visual polish than any of my previous projects.
The German open beta is getting closer, and I’d be delighted to welcome a few more testers for the upcoming open German beta phase.
