Who the hell is 'Ilair'? (Malavon's Dome)

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
Hi. I'm playing Icewind Dale 1 but the classic, non EE version of the game of GoG, the one you get with the EE there... and in Malavon's Dome I found not only him and his simulacrum, but another dark elf mage called Ilair to fight me. I googled it and got no answer... I have no mods or whatever so... Who is that?

    He seems to be Malavon's "apprentice" who appears on higher difficulty levels if HoW expansion is installed. I don't know why he didn't make it into the EE version.

    Isnt he appearing during sleeping time? There is one Npc appearing only whem resting.

    Not in Malavon's Dome. There is the recurring appearance of "The Voice of Durdel Anatha" in the "outdoor" areas of Lower Dorn's Deep.

    Yes... I'm playing on Insane, I was like... Isair? 😆 But no, Ilair. Nice surprise. He died easy anyway. Maybe they forgot to add him in the EE's.

    Maybe it's a negative EasterEgg. Like "hey, how about we leave him out and see how long it takes for anyone to notice"?
