Trying to enable console on Android tablet, but can't locate baldur.lua.

I'm trying to play the series over again but wanted to enable console for cheat codes just to make life a little easier. I know using an external bluetooth keyboard will let you open the console, but in order to enable it I still need to get into baldur/lua and add the necessary text.
Problem is I downloaded a file manager, enabled "view hidden files" just in case, navigated to the data/com.beamdog.baldursgateenhancededition folder that every guide on the internet says should contain the .lua file, and the folder is completely empty as far as I can tell. I have started a new game and played for a minute so everything that gets created after you run the game for the first time should be done, but there's still nothing in the folder. I've tried searching the system for the file but I get no results.
Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
