    No quests in BG.

You learn his story in the Black Pits.

No, he just has some interjections whenever you travel to certain places. (e.g. the Undercity, Friendly Arm)

@pipinho Actually its 4 new NPCs; there is also Rasaad. I think he is also free of charge for the ipad users.

Paying for a NPC in a game...

They should be free, even on tablet ...

    Where are we heading ?

@Aasimar069 They're DLCs on iPad because the game itself costs half as much as it does on PC.

Where are we heading, where are we coming from? I find that a rather existential question.

We are headed to Gimmigimmie land where everyone thinks they have the right to have everything for free regardless of the work put into creating the masterpiece.

And if something isn't right, the wrath of angry freeloaders will rain down on the developers in thunderous online posts, demanding repudiation for the slight regardless of how minor or insignificant.

It's a scary place, so lets tread lightly.

Well the iPad app cost $10, and the PC version was about $20. With all of the in-app purchases (portraits, voices, characters) the iPad version costs about $20. Without the ~$10 extra worth of in app purchases, the iPad version is missing stuff compared to the PC version.
The way I see it, they came with the base game, but the iPad got a reduced cost by ditching some features as "mandatory". Maybe unnecessary, but all things said in done the games are basically the same price.
