You're name just had me wondering: who wants to be called 'a chicken?'. So, it's a brave move picking that name! ;-)

Makes me wonder: is there a @Portalbendarwin or @Noober on this forum?

It was taken, but my dabbling with magic had unexpected consequences and I was unable to log in for 3 years -> deleted account.

A lucky encounter with my master and a successful save later I am back!!!!!!!!!!

"Hmmmmm, those potions looks interesting.....No one will notice if I take a sip of each....."

Nope, that can't be Noober, he placed only one (that's 1) comment. How can he be Noober? He can't be. I should be throwing rocks at him, to make him start talking. What about now?

Melicamp's quest was adorable. Definitely one of the more memorable moments of the game. I secretly wanted to keep him. Melicamp as a sidekick during the fight against Sarevok? YES!

I usually do end up keeping him throughout the game. I can now have something in my backpack to keep my familiar company

@Bhaaldog: That picture reminds me of the somewhat peculiar holiness of chickens in Skyrim... Touch one, slaughter a village.

The best part of carrying melicamp around all the time is when you get ambushed by ogres who want to eat you, you can whip out melicamp and shout "suck my hen"

Man resurrecting chickenman was real hard and made me reload many many times.
    However it was rewarding indeed.
At first time I figured out it is natural to let him blown away and much later I learn It is random like schroedinger's cat.

Nope. He is a female while in chicken form.

Melicamp "Thank you. Yes, *cluck*, that was just what I needed in my *cluck* hour of need. You laugh it up while I *cluck* learn to cope with passing eggs."

    So get sucked.

I see this topic has taken a somewhat...peculiar...turn...

See, no one wants to be known as a gender confused chicken that has a 50-50 chance of survival or be sold for 50 gp at the local market or stuffed in some adventures knapsack for the duration of the game.

    Enjoy the name :P

It would be a fun little mod if Melicamp could be acquired as a familiar.

Btw, there was once (in vanilla BG1) a summon chickens cheat:

    Cheats:TheGreatGonzo()
    - Summons 10 killer chickens who defend you.

Yeah, I got an invite once to join "The Ten Killer Chickens" gang. I declined though. Why? Well... You know... That would have made eleven, so it just wouldn't have worked out.
