I do not understand how to get the patches

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
I have looked online to download patches, I cannot find anywhere. Found where someone said patches can be installed through game installer, nothing there.I have never played this game, got it through GOG, so sorry if this is rudimentary'.

    Never mind, found everything, close the thread, delete my account, erase my hard drive, sorry I bothered everyone with my stupidity.
